Re: APOD assessment poll #6
I well recall this image. I have seen it at least three times. Also featured on PBS Nova. By the way the one on the left really is a celestial monster. His/her/its face is clearly seen on its right about 1/5 of the way down. (It is preparing to devour the smaller monster on its right. ) Sorry...

Re: APOD: Hints of Higgs from the Large Hadron... (2011 Dec
Wow! What a picture. I would really like to see that one in 3D. I can't see how it would be flipped since the man is obviously standing where gravity sucked him :D . Unless you mean the picture was mirror imaged. As for other comments on the dangers of creating black holes in the lab, I remember whe...

Re: APOD: Two Planet Opposition (2010 Oct 08)

Re: Saturns Hexagon Comes to Light (2009 Dec 14)

Hi: You have my earlier opinion on whether it is a blog. In noticing the responses though it is interesting to see how many joined this discussion group today.

Re: Is APOD a blog? (can you imagine how little i care)
Hi: I have been getting my morning "Astronomy Fix" from APOD for several years. That's probably before the term "blog" (which rimes with "clog", "bog", "fog", "frog" and "slog") was ever invented  . Like so many cutesy terms ...
