Hi Ann. Thanks for pointing this out. I'll keep it in mind for the next HST process. I really want to represent coIors as accurately as possible.

Kind Regards,
Chris.

Hi Geckzilla.

I have noticed that they are two different individuals.

Anyway. No worries..

I verify what DavidLeodis said. Whitby is a fantastic place and despite the 800 km driving I can't wait to get there again.

Re: APOD: Moonset at Whitby Abbey (2016 Oct 29)

Really? The APOD is just to show us that we, in planet Earth, have a moon in the sky? Not criticizing, just expecting something of value. I'm referring to the Whitby Abbey story and the Dracula myth. These are the "stories worth to be told". I never said that APOD is here to show us that ...

Re: APOD: Moonset at Whitby Abbey (2016 Oct 29)

'Seedsof Earth' this is true. The astronomical element is not strong (although, apart from the Moon, Orion constellation is also visible for those who observe!). Earth is also a part of Cosmos though, with many stories worth to be told every once in a while even on Astronomy Picture of the Day site....

Re: APOD: Solstice Sun at Lulworth Cove (2015 Dec 31)

Thank you all for your kind words! I'd like to learn more about the technique that M. Kotsiopoulos used to stitch together the five photos. Both the pattern of clouds and the pattern of waves look natural and without noticeable boundaries; yet, the glare of the sun through the clouds and o...

V It is a pain that in a place like this under the name NASA are selected absolutely false images designed with the sole intention of using the impact of lying to get attention of impressionable unwary. Here is an example of a REAL image obtained in the minute of totality from 140 miles N-NW of Ibi...

Re: APOD: Supermoon Total Lunar Eclipse and... (2015 Sep 29)

If this is a scientifically accurate photo why the stars don't trail along with the moon and why a few stars are inside Moon's diameter in the seventh photo? The answer is obvious. This is what it is. A photoshop composite. It was stated as being a composite, which is a legit astrophotography techn...
