Not only are you dealing with Egyptian mythology, if the date on the paper can be believed, the material is over 100 years old. The fact they are talking about, is this: Quote Adjusting Dr. Schoch's recent weathering measurements from the base structure inside the Pyramid--by adding at least anothe...

Re: Is the sun getting bigger, Right Now!
Thanks For the replies Chris, And Neufer. Very interesting. So could we say that these changes could be much more apparent, say 5000 years ago? But these changes you referred to nuefer got me thinking, to another subject that interests me. And may be relative to this subject. How can the Sun go out?...

Is the sun getting bigger, Right Now!
The sun converts hydrogen into helium at the rate of 450/600 million tons per second. It is losing Mass by 4.26 million tons per second. So is the 500 million tons going into its growth of helium, and this means the sun is growing at a steady rate per second? Would this loss of mass have any effects...

I think I read somewhere that some astronomers hypothezised that there might be some exotic life forms on Venus, which would of course be specially adapted to cope with the extreme conditions there. But who's to say that there aren't such life forms on Venus? We haven't proved that they aren't ther...

Re: Astronomy's Best Kept Secret
The paper and video is bogus and not close to consistent with GR. In fact, if "Physics 101" was all that's required (video) then GR is wrong. I say that because GR does not predict Allen's simple result. To think that a simple Newtonian integral over (all) time applies to a proven space-t...

Once again RJN, You have asked A question that grips my mind and gets me thinking. The End of your pole would reach 99.9999% the speed of light. Hey Chris, Did we not have this conversation about the color of stars a few months back? I told you then, That I thought suns, and stars should be the whole colors of the rainbow. And my reason for asking was Mass The heavier the star, the more color shifted it should be. This means that gravity and...

I feel that hurt. Uh... If you mean I offended you, I apologize, I wasn't trying to be patronizing. It's just that the idea of reference frames is pretty slippery. They're not intuitive, it takes a while to understand them, and it really pays to start with the simple cases. No need. If it was possi...

Hawking radiation probably only means that infalling matter loses its energy to it and in the end of this epic process should be very cold (bye, bye, thermodynamics). I don't follow your reasoning, but the final stages of evaporation of a black hole are very hot. the reasoning: imagine BH in your &...

Hi, RJN
If I remember correctly, I Think it is both, An interference pattern and No interference pattern. And the simple act of watching the experiment makes all the difference. But I do not understand why.

I don't know what "stretchy space time" is, but I don't think it has anything to do with what I'm talking about. Asking "what time is it" anyplace is generally a meaningless question. All you can say is that time flows differently between different reference frames . There is no...
