Gas creatures

APOD photo http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html The text jokingly says, "This interstellar beast .... " However .. I see it as no joke - I believe the 'imaginary' creatures are genuine life forms, and will evolve. To witness the glimmerings of the possibility of endless varieties...

Corkscrews

Yes .. Corkscrews - (Astrolabe's last post coalesced ((spellcheck needed)) part of my thinking on this) ... Spiral Galaxies seemingly corkscrew through space no matter which side of the face you view .. approaching or departing .. yet they appear flat when viewed edge on. One way that could be expla...

Yes, well ..

John .. Surely you can't be serious in your request? My elaborations would take far too much room on this forum .. my goodness, my equation for the hindrance-multiplication effect of .777 photon on the relativity of near finese mass affected by the nexus of plexus would take up 9,234.1 zorbahydrants...

"Pity the unfortunate slave chained to his theory." Sputnick, April, 2008 John:1 - (not to be confused with John 1: 1 to 3 - or John 3:16) - the 20 pieces you refered to were different sizes whereas the Phobos impacts would have to be from identical size rocks .. tens of thousands of ident...

Sea of stars

Well BMA - sea of stars is a picturesque description .. very poetic. But the scripture is clear that the firmament contains the stars, sun and moon; with waters being above that firmament (water which I expect to be discovered post haste with the new telescopes - water in some form beyond the furthe...

Galaxies trailing their spirals

This photo http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap080420.html clearly demonstrates a phenomenon which indicates we seem to understand next to nothing about time and space. Most spiral galaxies viewed face-on appear to be travelling away from us, with the spirals closer to us than the nucleus .. or at le...

Sorry John

Yes, Sorry John, but just because you say it's so doesn't mean it's so.

You had no reply to my steam theory.

Anyway .. I'm convinced the grooves are from ice mining ..
the preponderence of groove through the obvious ice area simply reinforces my belief.

Martian civilization

I'm genuinely thinking the grooves are due to last ditch attempts at saving the Martian civilization by mining Phobos ice and hurling it into the Martian atmosphere. There are too many curiosities even for steam venting .. an no chance at all for impact chains.

SooHoo

NASA has recently determined that the substance flowing the crater's edge is not H2O. Using more sophisticated cameras the reflected light does not match the properties of H2O, and the light colored material has not shown signs of sublimation over the last year. Yes! Alcohol flowing on Mars! Martia...

Knowing next to nothing about C02 - could it flow as a liquid on Mars for a short enough duration to cause erosion resembling water erosion? Art (and everyone) several obvious eliptical craters can be seen by enlarging http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap080410.html to the highest resolution, and examining the lower, right hand 1/3 of the photo. These I will say are probably returning debris. By enlarging the photo other peculiarities com...
