Re: Seeking advice on finding various equipment for project

Well, not really. I was hoping to find general ideas and stuff as well. You never know when one idea may lead to another when it comes to things like this. :)

Re: Seeking advice on finding various equipment for project

Would anyone else have any ideas for more things I could photograph for this project? It has to be able to include a human model. We do have a green screen but I'd prefer to do it all 'live'. Any and all ideas welcome!

Re: Seeking advice on finding various equipment for project

Possible. We'll be playing about with a few different scenarios for the imagery. Plus of course a better writing that explains it much better :)

Re: Seeking advice on finding various equipment for project

as cliche as it sounds, its representative. I was watching Stephen Hawkings' 'The Grand Design' and he gave an example of how it would work. I was going to have a picture of a woman holding a candle, with two images of herself on either side looking at the candle as well. With text something like th...

Seeking advice on finding various equipment for project

I am doing a special photo-book project inspired by Richard Dawkins' Unweaving the rainbow and other peices. I have about 15 images in mind so far - basically it will be a combination of photo-art and short explanations of what it is representing/what is happening, etc... kind of like APOD. I will s...

Indeed it is. I've never been so far north before... I wont even be on the mainland anymore. So even if the weather is cloudy and miss the eclipse, its sure to be one heck of a trip. I intend to arrive early morningish, sleep all day (somewhere), get up and stargaze all night and then catch the ecli...

Fairly sure...

This is after all, summer in the Arctic Circle, where they sometimes get 24 hours of daylight.

According to a few sources I found, it all begins at about 8am UTC, which converted to local time for Cambridge bay, is indeed 3;00 am (So totality I guess is at about 3:30.)

Preparations for the August Solar Eclipse...

Not sure where to put this. If its in the wrong place I apologise and do hope it is moved. I am intending on going to Cambridge Bay to catch the Solar Eclipse that my SkyNew Magazine told me is happening on August 1st, at 3:24 AM. However, I want to ensure I view the eclipse safely. I am bringing my...

I am curious if Holmes should still be visible? I know its retreating currently, however I dont think I've been able to spot it (Although cloud coverage could be to blame as well). I've been trying to get my telescope set up right so I can get a look at it.
