And those are more than occasional satellites. They are a blight.

"Close inspection indicates that the dark coating typically faces the moon's equator" -- There's a wrong word in here somewhere.

It is incorrect to say that 8.85 km (29,000 feet) is the maximum cruising altitude for commercial airliners; it is actually at the lower end of the average range of cruising altitudes.

Does anyone know what the blurred object in the upper right-hand corner is? It could be "just" another galaxy, but it doesn't look like it would be one.

Does anybody happen to know the speeds of winds in the cloud bands shown in the picture? Which bands contain the higher speed winds?

Well, except if you're near the North/South pole, in which case you wouldn't be able to see the sun during January/July.
