carbon dating is only good for about 50,000 years the atmospheric C13 is changed by nuclear bomb blasts but it's sorta like setting a clock ahead 5 mins ..you know its 5 minutes fast so you can figure out the correct time there are other factors that can change the amount of C13 absorbed as well.......
