Hi BMAONE23. thank you for your reply & i now understand the potential problem maybe tho the Mods have flamed some messages due to their unhealthy content rather than the scientific differences i would certainly not visit a Cafe if Createrchains was in charge of the catering or cutlery :D Linx

Hi,

i dont see why the existing Cafe rules cannot be expanded to include both NSL + APOD under one roof/canopy

it appears a lot of hot air with no real objective to me

Asterisk Cafe / APOD Cafe

Hi, altho there are some small variations in the direction of the content covered, i do not see a need for a 2nd Cafe ..perhaps the coffee on sale is a descendent of a higher class of bean ..that could cause a stir :D

SCIENTISTS SHOULD KNOW GRAMMER

Hi,
i believe that the Internet & the Web were developed at different locations, so therefore they must be two different 'things'

the WWW essentially originated from CERN by a guy called Web
the Internet appears to have grown from the USA

White Ridges on Mars

Hi,
i dont think that all of the blue colour is caused solely by shadows as the patterns look too inconsistant & sparse in places where it would seem that a shadow should exist

or perhaps i just prefer the idea of the Martian Blue Berries! ..i looked up about them, so thanks BMAONE

Why Hot APOD (19th Nov 2006)

Hi Andy, i presumed that any meteoerite fragment would be hot enough to burn the car paintwork & therefore too hot to handle as well perhaps the heat that is generated whilst passing through the Earth's atmosphere does not penetrate to the core of the meterorite but is localised on the outer lay...

Why Hot (APOD 19th November '06)

i would have thought that the bit of the meteorite would have been very hot after passing through the Earth's atmoshpere ..but i dont see evidence a severe scorch mark, such as i would expect, on the car in the APOD
