Big Bang map uni-directional?

OK, from a non-astronomer, non-mathematician...today's map of the Big Bang and expanding universe shows the "explosion" in only one direction. Why isn't the "explosion" shown to be outward, in all directions from a central point?

Galaxies spin clockwise?

I'm a non-astronomer, non-scientist.

Quick question. I've noticed on the APOD that galaxies all seem to spin in a clockwise direction. Is this so? Don't any of them spin in a counter-clockwise direction?

Thanks.
