Re: The Mysterious Voynich Manuscript (2010 Jan 31)

Did it look like this? http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/bigphotos/91032981.html Passing resemblance, yeah. But not really. They're religious writings and not very mysterious. And a lot more skillfully crafted, if you ask me... Just a side note. geckzilla why would you post a link such as tha...

Just a suggestion when posting images for discussion on a forum would be to re-size the image smaller or for the really large images just a link works. That would be courteous not only for bandwidth but for ease of reading the posts.

Epimetheus's chunk is probably Janus;

Hyperion's (250km?) chunk may have formed "Xanadu" on nearby Titan:
That is a stretch.

That image was taken back in October 1999, January 2000, and December 2000. Has there been a consensus as to the distance to the Crab Nebula; it seems to vary from 6000 ly to 6500 ly. Art, the chart does not have the distance to the Crab listed. If the light from the explosion was seen in 1054 AD, t...

Tammy, may I suggest, whatever problem Texas (3417579.187, 10411729.397) has it would be far less significant than other more pressing human concerns so deal with it, get over it and move on.
