So Sad

:D Yes, our little hero, Spirit, has done some marvelous work as has its sister, Opportunity. But I was saddened to hear from JPL that Spirit's scramble for winter sun has been bogged down now that it must drag a broken foot. http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/image/0603/paigepan_spirit.jpg

Thanks, Gene, for that excellent synopsis of where current research is on the temperature front.

Thanks :D

The evidence of global warming is overwhelming. Anyone with proof [photos or measurements] to the contrary is highly encouraged to post such images and citations. Re: Two Tone Rock

It looks to me like it is a "rock" that was once covered in ice. The ice is slowly sublimating giving us the two tone view. Yes, though I didn't know whether the rock arrived with its icy covering or whether it was a reminant of a winter ice drift. Though there appear to be ice patches fu...

Very good question. I have never seen a bulletin board on which you can do this but that doesn't mean it can't be done, or hasn't been done in the past by someones hack. Besides asking that here you might try starting a new "Asterisk BB Software" thread over at the Asterisk Cafe forum. It ...

OK, I'm learning way too much of the bad air in a place I'll never visit. Carbon Dioxide is one of the heaviest gasses and its effect at the surface of Venus is cause for the greater density of the atmosphere. It might well be another star satelite. Another star's satellite? For my two cents 8) The solar system formed from a disc of material which had gathered in our local Milky Way region. This disc coalesced further into the sun and planets. You can call anything orbiting the sun a planet, but once it's found not to made of our system's original materials then it's of...
