APOD editor Robert Nemiroff will speak on 2015 January 9 after a banquet of the Boeing Employees Astronomical Society (BEAS) in Seattle, Washington. The event is open to the public but tickets must be ordered from
http://www.boeingastro.org/. Tickets cost $43. for non-BEAS members, $19. for children 10 and under. Festivities start at 6 pm (PST) with a social hour, and the lecture is expected to begin at about 8 pm. The lecture topic will be "NASA's Best Images" and will feature many memorable APOD images and videos along with background and commentary. [Note that this event will not be promoted on the main NASA APOD site because it is not a free event. ]
