Rainbows are coloured because the light is refracted, while monn and sun bows are white, because they are reflected. Right?
No picture, but I saw what looked very like a rainbow in shape, and distant in the sky from the sun, but not in the usual position, and white, not coloured. There were snow covered mountains about 120 degrees around the horizon for the 'bow'. What could it have been?
