Part of the caption reads

"Also visible above, unusual layered rocks lie to your right, while other scattered rocks appear either smooth or sponge-like."

Good to see that APOD people have a sence of humor. The link for the "Smooth" surface is another greatly discussed image while the "Sponge" link takes you to "Sponge bob"

Lucky,

If I right click on today's APOD picture and choose "Save image as...", a 600 x 2195 pixel image is downloaded and saved. If I left click, a much-higher-res image downloads and displays, but it is not automatically saved).

What exactly happens (or doesn't happen) if you right or left click?

Sometimes when I click on the new picture of the day, my computer indicates that the photo has been downloaded, but there is no picture. And, nothing I do brings up a photo Happened today with "Macool Hill" Any thoughts as to why this occasionaly happens. :(
