The automatic APOD Windows backgrounder programme is a nice piece of software but I have yet to figure out how to make it produce a BMP image, which would display entirely and keep its aspect ratio on a Windows XP Pro machine.
If one selects the preference "Resize to Desktop", the full image is displayed but well distorted as the image's aspect ratio rarely if at all matches the screen resolution. If one deselects the previous preference, only a part of the image is displayed for the same reason.
Again, it's a nice programme but without correct image display it looses much of its utility. What is?
