There is so much dust around the Horsehead Nebula that it is amazing that it wasn't overlooked by astronomers. Yet it has become a very popular figure in astronomy. 8)

[url=http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap070106.html]The Orion Deep Field (APOD 2007 Jan 6)[/url] is the same orientation as [url=http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap080221.html]Orion's Horsehead Nebula (APOD 2008 Feb 21)[/url]. The belt stars clearly extend up and to the left.

I believe there is only one belt star, [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeta_Orionis]Alnitak[/url] (eastern most), to the left of the Horsehead and above the [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flame_Nebula]Flame Nebula[/url]. I think the next two belt stars to the west, [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epsilon_Orionis]Alnilam[/url] and [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delta_Orionis]Mintaka[/url], would be off the page to the upper left corner.
