Could be slightly time lapsed... making it appear fuzzy a bit.

The stars are sharp; hense the aurora is sharp as well. :oops:

Does anyone know whether the aurura in the photograph 'Aurora Over Alaska' is in focus or not? The foreground appears to be sharp. The distant trees appear to be less in focus.

Is the aurora sharply focused, out of focus or was an artistic compromise make?
