Looking at the horizontally compressed view I totally agree that the stuck wheel track looks like a road on the side of a hill. In addition to that the dark rocks on first glance looked like pine trees on the side of that hill.

After looking a little closer I realized that we didn't discover plant life on Mars after all.

In case you didn't try, the full size image appears to be the original aspect ratio. Just click the actual image.

I never noticed how much of a fuss Spirit made about dragging the stuck wheel, but you can see how it's turned over the dirt.

Completely got me.

I was getting quite huffy that this pic had been spoilt by the horizontal compression, then I clicked on the 'to fit your screen' link.
