While it is true that many scientists today would agree with you, I have my doubts about that scenario of events being the true cause and effect of what we see.
From all the evidence I have seen and studied for the past three and a half years, and coupled with several decades of following closely all the Mars missions of mankind, there may be another scenario that more closely matches the evidence. Time will tell which "theory" was correct, as with all theories. IMHO these events happened with in the last 50,000 years, and most probably with in the past 5,000 years.
