Haha, I just noticed the calendar page last night, and feel greatly embarrassed for this post now.

You might want to use the Calendar link instead, if you're just catching up on recent APODs: http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/calendar/allyears.html

Apologies if already suggested. Search didn't result in anything.

I was wondering if the archive page could be modified to only show the current year. With a year filter at the top? The page itself is quite large, and takes a bit of time to fully load. I don't know about most users, but generally I use the archive to catch up from recent days or weeks I've missed. Then if I wanted to see different years, I still could using the filters.
