The web server was down.

Why was APOD off-line over the weekend, speaking of 20 years of " a source of web consistency"?

APOD is my homepage. I was worried when I couldn't connect.

Same problem here second day now. No chance to connect with APOD (I´m from/in Germany). Tried different preferences and configurations of FF and even hated IE.. :no:

There are also some mirrors which translate the original APOD and because of that they are 1 day "late":

http://apod.nasa.gov/ is experiencing difficulties. We don't know why, yet.

I start my day, everyday, with APOD. For the second day in a row, http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html times out, no connection. http://www.nasa.gov/ is alive and well. Any news?
