Yes....Humanity explores the Solar System....in the name of science, in the search for truth, and facts, and data about the universe around us....and in the process pollutes it.
Currently 19.000 objects larger than 5cm are tracked, and 300,000 pieces smaller than 1cm. And this is just Earth orbit. In the future it is likely to get more, and worse, and start interfering with missions. I remember the Star Trek Episode about how warping in space was actually WEARING SPACE OUT...a type of travel pollution, so to speak. So, in the future, space travel would be more limited...
I am reminded of "Jurassic Park"..."just because you Can do something...SHOULD you do something?"
Every Scientist should watch "Gamera Vs Zigra"..."Scientists should be trying to SOLVE EARTH'S POLLUTION PROBLEMS"...ruffly translated...
Well...maybe someday in the far flung future, when we are REALLY OUT THERE on a permanent basis, Garbage Scow Space Trucks, will gather up the debris and what can be salvaged will be recycled, and anything that can not be used, gets incinerated on the way to the Sun. YES, Friends there IS HOPE that mankind will do the right thing in the future!!!!! Oh, yeah...we are mankind....hmmm...going to take an act of the world congress, and someone to enforce the laws, and a Garbage committee to discuss which size of objects to collect, and of course the United States will get the biggest share of the blame, and cost, etc.....hmmmmm....OH WELL...NOT OUR PROBLEM, RIGHT????? That is one for the next millennium...by then it will be a monumental task, cost trillions, but will create jobs!!! Soooo,...Stay in school, and study SCIENCE!!!

Nice depiction of the missions going on, past and present...interesting way of using "inserts", and these missions HAVE taught us a lot about the solar system and beyond.
And maybe it will all work out...if we all just work together....HMMMPH!!! (Nodding my head with determination)...
