I captured this image as the Moon was setting, 5:25 AM MDT. It shows the Moon just above the Absaroka Mountain Range southwest of Cody, WY, USA, looking at the Horse's Head, a snowbank on Scoria Creek, a tributary of Ishawooa Creek (ISH-uh-wah) on the South Fork of the Shoshone River. Tradition has it that when the "reins" are cut or the Horse's "throat" is slit, that's the end of high water on the South Fork. The pinnacle of volcanic rock in the middle ground of the image is Castle Rock.
