The site doesn't say anything about APOD. Sure, it links to APOD, but to display the text and images as if originating from that site -- as is done -- appears to be a violation of copyright. Not only are many of the images that APOD displays copyrighted (usually by the imagers), but so is the text.

Since the picture is linking to the other site they could have meant it as the citation. Either way they are giving that link the credit for the pic

I don't like to be too critical - as the (2nd?) last post said the picture does link to APOD, but as the last one pointed out there is no attribution. I think it's a clear copyright breach, as it stands. They really only need acknowledge their source and it would be fine. What is the APOD policy?

Yes, but the site is shown as "Curran Astronomy Home Page" and does not attribute APOD at all.

If you click on the image, it takes you, as a hyperlink, to the APOD page for that day

Yes owlice - it's definitely a copy-and-paste job! Even the links are the same. Perhaps we should let APOD know?
