Hmmmm, solar photography has picked up, so that the Sun tends to look more interesting in recent pictures. And hey, that first one was taken by P-M Hedén, a fellow Swede!
What about the yellow background of his Sun image? It's okay with me, because it brings home the realization that the colors here are as false as they could be.
And I absolutely adore Bob and Janice Fera's image of the Little Coccon Nebula. The composition, the richness of the stellar field, the intricacy of the nebula and the absolutely delicious colors... now that is what I call a true cosmic beauty!!! :
