It is just a greatly overexposed moon crescent (on March 8 ?).

Well good catch, BlueTabby. Under the image, there is a link to an email address for the image-taker, where their name is highlighted. Perhaps you can email them and see what sorf of clarification or response you receive...? Keep us posted!

yes RJ, Mars is in cancer & near the Brothers (Castor & Pollux) right now.

I looked more closely at the photo, and realized that the orange object couldn't be Mars ... DUH! on me!

I think you have to save the picture without the high resolution. When I pass my cursor over the picture the drawings disappear. I saved the picture to a file for future use as a background by right clicking with my mouse and followed instructions. I got the picture without the drawings. If that doesn't work; I don't know what to tell you. Does anybody else got any Ideas? :?

I really like the photo but I don't want the drawings because Orion is a Hunter, and he's armed with a bow--a hunter does NOT carry a sword and shield! Is this evidence of a 17th-century doofus, or am I a 21st-century one???

If you want you can save picture as; go to my pictures; or set as background and the drawings will not be on there. 8-) It is an awesome picture.
