I learned that Lake Eppalock is a man-made lake on the Campaspe River, and by extension was reminded of the word catchment.

I learned the word "paraselene." I knew about sun- and moondogs and knew parhelion; if I ever knew paraselene, I'd forgotten it. I also learned of what may be a new vacation destination for me, Lake Ossiach. I haven't been in that part of Austria yet.

Among other things, I learned that speckles make an egg stronger (!), and that it's been so long since I've heard Holst's "The Planets," I didn't recognize Venus when I heard it.

Looks to me like it exists for the advertising revenue, not for its content. Wikipedia has much better and more complete content. And Wikipedia does contain an article on Hanny's Voorwerp.

Me too!!!!!! I just learned that it exsists thanks to you. Although I thought of the most random space/science thing I could think of and checked the encyclopedia and it wasn't there. That random space/science thing I thought of was Hannys Vorwep. It should be more complete than that!

If I ever go looking for my heart's desire again, I won't look any further than my own back yard.
Because if it isn't there, I never really lost it to begin with! Is that right :?:
