I didn't even recognise the formation as an arrow until apodman outlined it. I believe it is just a natural phenomena. I agree that the picture is awesome though. Imagine; 15 million LY away and being able to see individual stars with such clarity! :shock: 8)

As usual, AWESOME. But where did the white arrow come from on the left side of the pic of M83? That was the second thing I noticed, found in the white gaseous area on the left of the screen. What is it pointing to? Why is it there? :?: Just highly curious. :D
