The APOD editors have day jobs. Annotation done properly and completely can take hours per picture. I don't think it's a priority.

Okay, make me a liar. It just proves that APOD is a reflection of life, maybe the reason I like it so much.

Only one day later, they annotated this picture for you. If I could get service like that everywhere I go, I'd be as happy as a pig in space (or in slop, or in something). But a color other than black might make more readable labels.
