Someone with photoshop experise should somehow make it 3D. I realize it's 2D at however light years away it is, but that blue field certainly looks like a window into another universe! Really cool!
That would be neat; 8) it looks almost 3D now with the blue in background. 3D would really make it pop.

I prefer this version of that picture

APOD: 2008 July 19 - M16 and the Eagle Nebula
I wonder how long it takes to digest those blood worms.
--------------------------------------------------
. King John > Act V, scene II
.
BASTARD: And like an eagle o'er his aery towers,
. To souse annoyance that comes near his nest.
--------------------------------------------------
. King Richard II > Act III, scene III
.
DUKE OF YORK: As bright as is the eagle's, lightens forth
. Controlling majesty: alack, alack, for woe,
. That any harm should stain so fair a show!
--------------------------------------------------
. King Henry VI, part II > Act III, scene I
.
YORK: Were't not all one, an empty eagle were set
. To guard the chicken from a hungry kite,
--------------------------------------------------
. Titus Andronicus > Act IV, scene IV
.
TAMORA: The eagle suffers little birds to sing,
. And is not careful what they mean thereby,
. Knowing that with the shadow of his wings
. He can at pleasure stint their melody:
--------------------------------------------------
. Cymbeline > Act IV, scene II
.
Soothsayer: Last night the very gods show'd me a vision--
. I fast and pray'd for their intelligence--thus:
. I saw Jove's bird, the Roman eagle, wing'd
. From the spongy south to this part of the west,
. There vanish'd in the sunbeams:
--------------------------------------------------
. Cymbeline > Act V, scene IV
.
Jupiter: Mount, eagle, to my palace crystalline.
.
. [Ascends]
.
Sicilius Leonatus: He came in thunder; his celestial breath
. Was sulphurous to smell: the holy eagle
. Stoop'd as to foot us: his ascension is
. More sweet than our blest fields: his royal bird
. Prunes the immortal wing and cloys his beak,
. As when his god is pleased.
--------------------------------------------------

Google had trouble bringing up today's picture. I finally tried google's suggestion and got yesterday's APOD index.
When I backed up; Lo and Behold there was the Index page; and I was able to bring up The Eagle Nebula.
A beautiful stellar nursery. :)
